Welcome to Canadian Truck Driver Training a Division of DJ Knoll Transport

About us

Canadian Truck Driver Training Inc. (CTDT) is a well-established and fully accredited professional truck driver training facility. Our CTDT owners also established D.J. Knoll Transport Ltd. a recent winner of the “2012 Best Fleets to Drive For” in North America.

It is our goal at CTDT to ensure the future generations of commercial drivers have complete and proper training. We feel it is essential to help drivers feel confident, informed and in control when faced with everyday tasks and situations while they are on the road.

At CTDT our course runs for 3 weeks instead of the traditional one week course offered by others. As part of our course the new driver will have behind the wheel driving experience for 30 hours and in classroom training for 20 hours.

Graduates of CTDT have a very high success rate of obtaining a position is the transportation industry. We have trained drivers in almost all the possible fields of the industry including oil/drilling patch work, Super B, long haul, short haul, cross country as well as international transport. Whether you are someone who needs a 1A licence to move product on the farm or a company needing to train a fleet of drivers for a specialized industry, CTDT ensures all drivers receive the highest level of training exceeding the minimum SGI standards.

We attribute our ability to go above and beyond the minimum standards greatly to the commitment of our SGI certified instructors. We are proud to say that our instructors rise above the minimums to ensure that all graduates of our program have the professionalism, experience and knowledge required to obtain a position with a successful transportation company.

At CTDT we are committed to producing top of the line drivers and take pride in knowing that when they obtain their future positions they have the schooling and training needed to make the road a safer place for everyone.

Students will spend 3 weeks training to become qualified drivers. Daily activities will include in-classroom and on-site training sessions and personalized instructor lead training in truck each day. Each driver will receive a minimum of 30 hours of driving time during their three weeks.

Specific activities or equipment training is available and can be included in the three week schedule upon request.
